BSSP’s web ads for Kybella, a Pharma product that helps reduce double chins, cleverly used “historic” portraits of three fictional characters to show the lengths they went to avoid showing their double chins. Beatrice, a countess in the Renaissance period championed over-sized ruffs. Horatio, a miner during the gold rush, started the trend for long beards. John an avid mountain climber preferred scarfs and neck wraps.
To create the series, I composited stock photography and applied a liberal coating of digital paint.
